Heat-based (Thermal) Pasteurization

Heat-based methods such as steam, microwave, and roasting expose food to high temperatures, which degrade sensory, nutrition, and germination by disturbing essential oils and fats. As a result, food is no longer raw, and viability is compromised.

CHEMICAL FUMIGATION

Chemical gases such as propylene oxide (PPO) and ethylene oxide (EtO) are injected into a chamber that holds food. These gases are classified as human carcinogens and are banned in the use of processing food in many parts of the world.

It is certified-organic by the U.S. National Organic Program (NOP) and the Canada Organic Regime (COR). The U.S. FDA, U.S. EPA, and Health Canada have approved the Neo-Pure Organic Solution as a processing aid, which means it is so safe to use that labeling on product packaging is not required.
